Overview
The DGEM is Devlabs' flagship connected environmental monitoring platform. Built around a proprietary mainboard, it simultaneously reads a wide range of sensor modules and transmits averaged data to the Devlabs data platform via 4G LTE.
Every DGEM is assembled to a customer-specific sensor configuration. Common deployments include particulate matter and electrochemical gas sensing for construction site air quality monitoring, multi-parameter campaigns for environmental research, and ambient reference installations alongside DVM in-duct units in HVAC environments.
The DGEM is an indicative monitoring platform and is not a certified reference instrument for regulatory compliance reporting. For projects with regulatory reference requirements, Devlabs will advise on appropriate parallel monitoring arrangements.

Key features
Configurable sensor payload
Choose from particulate matter (PM1/2.5/4/10), CO₂, eVOC, NOₓ index, electrochemical trace gas cells (NO₂, CO, O₃, NH₃), noise, wind speed, and weather. Every DGEM is assembled to your specification at order — there is no default configuration.
4G LTE connectivity with SIM included
A Devlabs-managed SIM is included and pre-configured. No SIM procurement or APN configuration required. Data reaches the platform over cellular from first power-on, with 2G fallback where 4G coverage is limited.
Auto-provisioned on first connection
Each DGEM registers itself on first cellular connection. Dashboards populate automatically — no manual platform setup or configuration is required at site.
Offline data buffering
~200 measurement records are retained locally during connectivity interruptions and flushed to the platform on reconnection. Gaps in connectivity do not mean gaps in the record.
Remote configuration
Measurement intervals and alarm thresholds are configurable remotely via the Devlabs platform. No firmware update or site visit required to change operating parameters.
OTA firmware updates
Firmware is updated remotely via the Devlabs platform. Units in the field receive updates without requiring physical access.
