Cleanroom Particle Counter
Classification-grade airborne particle counting for cleanrooms — five size channels, with the ISO 14644-1 cleanliness class shown on the device and on the Devlabs platform

Overview
The Devlabs Cleanroom Particle Counter is a standalone instrument built for cleanroom classification. It is a five-channel optical counter with an on-device ISO 14644-1 class readout and constant-flow sampling, and it sends its readings to the Devlabs platform.
A cleanroom is qualified periodically, but the obligation to keep it in a state of control is continuous. Quality and validation teams need classification-grade particle counting that stands up at qualification and investigation, and a record of what happened in between.
The counter mounts on the wall at the point of use. It reports cleanliness class continuously, shows the result on its own screen, and raises an audible and visual alarm when a count passes the threshold for its channel.
It can be paired with DVM in-duct units, which provide continuous particle monitoring at the air handling units. Together, continuous indicative monitoring and classification-grade counting run under one platform, one login and one report stream.
The Cleanroom Particle Counter is designed for cleanroom and controlled indoor environments. If in doubt about a setting, contact Devlabs before specifying.
Capabilities
Key features
Five-channel optical counting
Counts airborne particles by light scattering in five size channels at once: 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 5.0 and 10 µm, in particles per m³ or per 28.3 L.
Cleanliness class on the device
The 3.5-inch colour touch screen shows the ISO 14644-1 cleanliness class, the count in each channel and the alarm status, so the state of the room can be read where the measurement is made.
Constant-flow sampling
Air is drawn through an isokinetic sampling probe at a constant 28.3 L/min (1.0 CFM), held steady by a built-in flow sensor.
Audible and visual alarms
Set an alarm threshold for each size channel. When a count exceeds it, the status light flashes red and the buzzer sounds until the level has been back under the threshold for two minutes.
Temperature, humidity and flow
A built-in sensor measures ambient temperature and humidity. Both are shown on the screen with the sampling flow, and reported with the particle counts.
Continuous class reporting
The counter reports cleanliness class continuously, giving a record between formal qualifications rather than a snapshot at each one.
Connected to the Devlabs platform
Readings are sent over Modbus RTU (RS-485) or MQTT (Ethernet) to the Devlabs platform and appear in the same dashboard as every other Devlabs system.
